The Fog Bog is a family-built Halloween yard display in Naperville, Illinois, created to bring the community together through seasonal spectacle, playful scares, and creative illusions. Established in 2018, it has grown from a single fog machine into a popular, always-free attraction welcoming visitors from Naperville and nearby Chicago suburbs each October. More than 10 fog machines and ultrasonic misters create its signature low-lying fog, while interactive decorations, singing pumpkins, and other effects add to the experience.
A standout feature is Naperville’s only vortex tunnel, which creates a spinning optical illusion after dark. The display is designed for families, and visitors can text ahead to request a sensory-safe experience with reduced noise and special effects. The Fog Bog also supports local causes, including a food drive for Naperville’s Loaves & Fishes, and promotes the importance of blood donation.
Visitors can explore independently or book a visit through Naperville Trolley Tours. The display is located at 225 Ridgefield Lane and opens seasonally around Halloween
