The Fox Hospital is a charitable organisation in England and Wales dedicated to the rescue, treatment, rehabilitation and long-term care of sick, injured and disabled foxes and other wild canids. It accepts patient referrals and transfers from veterinary practices, wildlife hospitals, rescues, sanctuaries, rehabilitation professionals and members of the public, including complex cases that other providers may be unable to accommodate. Its care includes veterinary treatment, surgery, diagnostic assessment, physiotherapy and rehabilitation, with the aim of returning animals to health and, where suitable, the wild.
Those unable to be released can receive permanent sanctuary. The organisation has helped thousands of foxes and is developing a purpose-built hospital and sanctuary, planned to include advanced imaging, operating theatres, clinical laboratories, recovery wards, physiotherapy facilities and outdoor enclosures across more than 300 acres of natural land. The Fox Hospital also offers advice and support, case discussions, training, learning resources and research opportunities, and works to support the wider rescue community
