The Future Career Academy is a brand that aims to disrupt the cycle of dead-end or low-paying jobs for non-college-bound students and provide them with in-demand, living wage entry-level jobs in their communities. In partnership with Hillsborough County Public Schools and the business community, the academy was established in 2015 with the goal of preparing and connecting students to great job and training opportunities in their community. The academy's model is designed to be replicated and sustainable in different communities, bringing together businesses and schools to create a prepared workforce.

Currently, the academy serves over 8,000 students countywide, with all English 4 and English 4 Honors students in Hillsborough County enrolled. The mission of the Future Career Academy is to create life-changing opportunities for students and their families, while also supporting company growth and providing an economic catalyst for thriving communities. With a full-year integrated approach, both in the classroom and through community partnerships, the academy ensures that students who are not attending college are equipped for successful futures
