About The Gallery Liverpool
The Gallery Liverpool is an arts space located in The Courtyard at 41 Stanhope Street, in Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle, a creative community in the heart of the city. The gallery develops celebratory exhibitions that bring greater attention to predominantly older, under-valued artists, photographers and designers, helping introduce their work to a wider audience. Its programme extends beyond visual art: music, performance and discussion are integral to the gallery’s activities, creating opportunities for audiences to experience creative work in different forms.
Exhibition soundtracks have been produced by Marc Almond and Jarvis Cocker, while performers have included Patrick Wolf and Andrew Logan. The gallery has also hosted talks by David McAlmont, Sheila Rock, Glen Matlock and Corinne Drewery. It works extensively with the LGBT creative community and shares information about exhibitions and upcoming events through its website and newsletter.
With an emphasis on celebratory programming, The Gallery Liverpool connects artists and audiences through exhibitions, live events and conversation in a distinctive cultural setting
