The Gambling Therapist

The Gambling Therapist is a UK-based specialist therapy practice offering online support for people affected by gambling addiction. Founded by Kira Bradbeer, an integrative therapist and accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, the practice helps clients who are ready to stop gambling as well as those finding recovery difficult. Its approach focuses on understanding the emotional drivers behind gambling, managing urges and addressing difficult feelings that may emerge after stopping.

Therapy is tailored to each person and may draw on person-centred therapy, EMDR, emotion-focused therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy and mindfulness-based CBT. EMDR is offered to help clients process painful experiences that may be connected to gambling or continue to affect their wellbeing. Kira brings more than thirteen years of therapeutic experience with people affected by gambling, including work in residential rehabilitation programmes and private practice. Sessions take place online for clients across the UK.
