Founded in Cape Town in 2006 by Executive Chef Mark Hoberman, The Gourmet Chef brings high-end, restaurant-quality cuisine to events and homes. The brand’s approach centres on treating every occasion as unique, with menus customised to suit its character and guests’ needs. Its catering services cover private celebrations, corporate functions, weddings and other occasions, from intimate gatherings to larger events.

Menu offerings include canapés and tapas, carefully prepared plated dinners, harvest tables and gourmet braais. The team also creates live barbecue stations and interactive food bars, combining polished presentation with a range of dining styles, from formal meals to relaxed outdoor feasts. Wedding menus can include reception canapés, plated dinners, harvest tables or braai options, planned with couples to reflect their vision. Corporate catering ranges from gala dinners and networking events to year-end functions.
