About The Graciella Initiative
TGI (The Graciella Initiative) is a youth-led not-for-profit initiative focused on promoting gender equality in Africa. With a team of 75 core members across 8 countries in Africa, TGI is dedicated to empowering girls and providing them with educational and vocational opportunities.
TGI was founded in 2016 after a group of youths serving in the National Youth Service Corps in Nigeria noticed the prevalence of gender-based violence and its detrimental impact on girls' education. This sparked a grassroots mobilization effort to raise awareness about these issues and engage stakeholders.
Through partnerships and collaborations, TGI has reached over 1,500 girls, offering them educational support and vocational training. They also work in conjunction with relevant non-governmental organizations to assist and rescue abused girls.
TGI's mission is to empower girls, create opportunities for their financial independence, and develop them into empowered women who contribute to national development. They also aim to enhance girls' self-esteem, promote gender equality, and provide a platform for dialogue with similar organizations.
By supporting TGI, you can help give African girls a voice and create a more equal and inclusive society.
