About The Granite Tower
The Granite Tower is the oldest monthly college magazine written in English in Korea. It serves as a crucial source of news for the entire Korea University community, including students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Founded in 1954, it has a rich history of journalistic integrity and has nurtured some of Korea's greatest intellectuals.
The magazine was established by Young-Bin Min, the founder of YBM Si-sa, Korea's largest English education institute, and his colleagues. In 1997, The Granite Tower made a groundbreaking move by becoming the first college magazine in Korea to venture into the online world. Today, the magazine's website, http://www.
thegranitetower. com, continues to provide its readers with up-to-date news and articles free of charge. With a strong body of undergraduate staff volunteers, The Granite Tower is a nonprofit corporation that is published monthly (excluding vacations).
