About The Hague Academy
The Hague Academy for Local Governance is a non-profit organization based in the Netherlands, dedicated to strengthening local democracy worldwide. They achieve this by offering practice-oriented training programs for individuals involved in local governance. Their aim is to empower people at the local level to jointly realize development goals, promoting reliable local services, inclusive local policies, and effective partnerships within local communities.
The Academy provides training for civil servants working at the national, regional, or local government, elected representatives, informal leaders, people working for civil society and community-based organizations, and staff of knowledge and training institutes. As an organization for the public benefit, The Hague Academy for Local Governance is recognized by the Dutch tax authorities with ANBI status. Additionally, they have been PARTOS ISO 9001-quality certified since 2020.
