About HealthTech Hub Africa
The HealthTech Hub Africa is a brand that facilitates collaboration between governments and start-ups in Africa to strengthen health systems through data and technology-enabled innovations. They provide a platform for health tech accelerators and offer a physical co-working and community space in Kigali, Rwanda. The program aims to drive the development of health technologies in Africa and fast-track innovation in public health systems through partnership with government authorities.
The Hub hosts scale-up and growth startups, providing them with a thoughtfully designed program to make a significant impact. Their goals include helping startups deliver impactful HealthTech innovations, creating a launchpad for local solutions, and informing policies on data and technology in health. The Hub focuses on four thematic areas for improving public health systems: cardiovascular health, breast cancer, virtual health and care, and optimization of data-driven decision making.
Startups in the growth and scaling stages can benefit from mentorship, coaching, access to resources, expert masterclasses, pitch practice sessions, and networking opportunities. The Hub also offers funding opportunities, access to a co-working space, and membership in a public-private partners network
