The Hive Athletics, Inc. is a basketball training organization based in Winthrop, Massachusetts, serving athletes in the Boston area. It offers basketball skills sessions, private and group lessons, team training, and seasonal programs for children and young people. Current spring sessions include co-ed instruction for kindergarten through grade three and girls’ programs for grades four through twelve, held at locations in Winthrop and Everett. Private and group training rates are available upon request, and athletes can also train using a Dr. Dish shooting machine.

The Hive tailors training to each athlete’s skill level and goals. Coaches use focused drills and game-like situations to help players apply their skills, prepare intentionally, and build habits they can continue independently. The organization emphasizes a safe, encouraging learning environment and a growth mindset, treating setbacks as opportunities to learn. Its approach also highlights leadership and teamwork, encouraging athletes to guide and support themselves and their teammates on and off the court.
