IET Sri Lanka is a local network established to cater to the needs of the members of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) residing in Sri Lanka. With a rich history of over 80 years, IET Sri Lanka currently boasts a growing membership of over 1,000 engineers. The network collaborates with prestigious organizations such as the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka (IESL), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), British Computer Society (BCS), and more, along with the engineering faculties of universities in Sri Lanka.

The activities organized by IET Sri Lanka are diverse and include evening forums, committee meetings, technical sessions, workshops, international conferences, field visits, and even radio/TV programs for public awareness. They also encourage the active participation of younger members through special sessions. The network's objective is to promote collaboration and knowledge exchange among professionals in electrical, electronics & telecommunications, and computer engineering fields.
