The Isabel Baker Foundation

The Isabel Baker Foundation is a UK-wide charity supporting families affected by childhood cancer. Established in 2015, it was created in memory of Isabel Baker, who was diagnosed with an aggressive form of leukaemia at 22 days old. Drawing on the family’s experience, the Foundation aims to ease practical pressures, offer emotional connection and help families find moments of comfort and normality during treatment, bereavement and recovery.

Its services include made-to-measure dry suits that enable children with central lines to enjoy water safely, practical assistance such as supermarket vouchers during treatment, and essentials bags. The Foundation also offers Isabel’s Retreat, providing families with rest and recovery breaks, and The Holding Space, a supportive community for parents navigating childhood cancer and grief. Families can also access support for bereaved relatives.

The charity invites people to contribute through donations, fundraising, corporate partnerships, events and volunteering. Its activities include the Black & Gold Ball, an annual fundraising event.
