About Jenney Museum
The Jenney is a history and education organization in Plymouth, Massachusetts, dedicated to exploring the Pilgrims’ influence on the founding and development of the United States. Through tours, presentations, exhibits, and conversations, it connects the Pilgrim story with themes such as faith, family, government, economics, liberty, and the ongoing struggle for equality.
Visitors can join guided walking tours of historic Plymouth, including Brewster Gardens, Plymouth Rock, Cole’s Hill, Leyden Street, and the waterfront, or take a tour of the National Monument to the Forefathers. Indoor presentations offer an alternative for those who prefer not to walk or when weather is poor. Other programs examine the Mayflower Compact, Pilgrim economics, the pursuit of happiness, and the Pilgrims’ relationship with Native Americans. The Jenney also presents exhibits on topics including abolition and the family, alongside educational programs designed to encourage questions and discussion. Reservations are required for many activities. The organization operates an interpretive centre and gift shop, and offers a bookstore with related books and DVDs.
