The Kind Barn

The Kind Barn is a registered Canadian non-profit organization and animal sanctuary in Smiths Falls, Ontario. Its mission is to provide a safe, loving, permanent home for animals at risk, with a focus on their care and well-being. The sanctuary is being developed on a five-acre property located between Carleton Place and Smiths Falls, where residents can receive shelter, food, medication, and ongoing attention.

Founded by Malgosia (Magosha), whose veterinary career has been shaped by interests in animal ethics, welfare, and rights, The Kind Barn reflects a commitment to improving how society treats non-human animals. The organization introduces visitors to its animal residents and invites people to learn more about the sanctuary and its work. It also welcomes visits to its facility and donations to help cover the costs of caring for the animals. Through these efforts, The Kind Barn works to create a secure and compassionate home for its residents while supporting their needs over the long term.
