About The Kindness Institute
The Kindness Institute (TKI) is a brand that embodies the principles of kaupapa Māori, offering programs and services designed to empower and support indigenous rangatahi (young people) in Aotearoa. TKI recognizes the significance of Te tiriti o Waitangi, the founding document of Aotearoa, and upholds a commitment to Tangata Whenua (people of the land) and their cultural traditions. At the core of TKI's work is kaupapa Māori, rooted in the voices of young people who celebrate their language, culture, and identity.
By combining eastern philosophies with a te Ao Māori context, TKI enables rangatahi to embrace their own journey in Te Ao Māori and develop their leadership potential. TKI's holistic framework, guided by Te Whare Tapa Whā, focuses on the dimensions of wellbeing (wairua, hinengaro, tinana, and whānau) and promotes the power of kindness through Te Ao Māori. Throughout the organization, Te reo Māori and tikanga Māori are woven into all aspects, fostering a caring and inclusive environment.
Join TKI in their mission to make a positive impact through compassion and support for indigenous rangatahi
