The Labor Room

The Labor Room supports women as they prepare for pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period, offering guidance, education, and practical tools for each stage of the journey to motherhood. Founded by Dr. Simone Lomax, a board-certified women’s health nurse practitioner with a Doctor of Nursing Practice, the organization draws on her more than 10 years of experience across obstetrics. Lomax is also a DONA International-trained doula and a Lamaze International-trained childbirth educator.

The Labor Room provides doula services, educational services, and consultations to help clients navigate questions and concerns around fertility, pregnancy, delivery, and early motherhood. Its approach emphasizes informed preparation and personalized support, recognizing that each stage can bring distinct challenges and uncertainties. Women can book a consultation or discovery call to learn more about available help. To promote equitable access, The Labor Room offers a sliding scale for women experiencing financial hardship.
