About The Lace Gallery
The Lace Gallery is an Irish lace and craft brand based near Altamont Gardens in Tullow, County Carlow. Founded around the work of award-winning lacemaker Mary O’Neill, it designs and creates handmade Carrickmacross Lace, a tradition dating to the early 1820s. The gallery introduces visitors to the history and techniques of Irish lace and displays a collection that includes Borris, Kenmare and Clones lace, as well as Torchon, tatting, Venetian needlepoint and bobbin lace.
The Lace Gallery’s online shop offers a range of lace-related products and gifts, including small and Irish gifts, Borris Lace, accessories, bridal items, canvas prints, books, cards and craft kits. Its offerings also include items for the traditional 13th wedding anniversary, when lace is given as a gift.
