About The Launchpad York
The Launchpad York is a community café and support hub created to help parents, caregivers and children feel welcome, connected and supported. More than a place to enjoy a warm drink, it offers families a relaxed setting where children can play while caregivers take time to recharge, meet others and share the realities of family life. Its activities include play sessions and community events designed to encourage quality time and connection among local families.
The Launchpad also aims to help visitors connect with professionals and find support when they need it, within a friendly community environment. The organisation invites families to help shape the café through a short survey about the atmosphere, resources and food they would value most. As a community interest company, The Launchpad York also welcomes support in the form of time, money, ideas and community engagement.
Donations and collaboration help the organisation develop a space that responds to the needs of local families and nurtures wellbeing, friendship and a sense of belonging
