The Learning Lodge Academy of Early Childhood Development is a new childcare center planned for Highland, Illinois, with an opening scheduled for 2026. Serving families in Madison County and nearby communities, the academy aims to provide young children with a loving, stable, and nurturing place to learn and grow through exploration, play, and hands-on experiences.
The center is being developed in a 10,000-square-foot building at 12456 Sportsman Road, across from the Korte Recreation Center. Its first floor is planned to include 10 classrooms and an indoor multipurpose area for active play, with additional classrooms envisioned for the second floor as the academy grows. Learning environments will serve children from birth through age five and support their development and key milestones.
Planned features and offerings include qualified teachers, age-appropriate learning, structured activities and free play, arts and crafts, sensory experiences, and indoor and outdoor playgrounds. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks are included. The facility also plans keypad access and indoor and outdoor security cameras.
