The Learning Wok is an online math education provider serving students in grades 3 through 12 around the globe. Its year-round classes aim to make mathematics meaningful, manageable, and enjoyable while helping students build a growth mindset. The curriculum is aligned with school districts and grade levels, and instruction is available in small groups or through personalized one-on-one sessions. Group classes encourage students to collaborate, ask questions, and learn alongside peers, while private lessons are tailored to each student’s learning style and pace.
Programs include elementary, middle school, and high school math, as well as preparation for math competitions and SAT/ACT math. The Learning Wok is a registered virtual center for Math Olympiads and international math competitions, and it trains and encourages students to participate. Lessons also emphasize thinking beyond standard problems and applying mathematics to real-life situations. By connecting math to fields such as engineering, computer science, finance, and healthcare, the organization presents the subject as a way to develop skills and explore future possibilities.
