About The Link: Youth and Family Supports
The Link: Youth and Family Supports, formerly known as Macdonald Youth Services, is dedicated to nurturing strong and resilient youth and families. With a rich history spanning nearly 100 years, The Link has been providing support to children, youth, and families in Manitoba. Their wide range of services includes a 24-hour Crisis Line (204-949-4777 or 1-888-383-2776) that is always open for children in need.
The Link works tirelessly to create a sense of belonging by connecting families to their culture, identity, and community. They also prioritize the improvement of physical, mental, and emotional wellness through their wellness programs. Building safe and caring relationships is another essential aspect of The Link's work.
They foster collaborative and respectful relationships between family members, families, peers, and community partners. Additionally, The Link ensures that youth are equipped with lifelong skills for independence, including job training and school supports. The organization prides itself on its compassionate, inclusive, and respectful approach, guided by their mission to empower a sense of belonging, pride, and purpose within the community.
