About The Little Theatre
The Little Theatre of Tuscarawas County, founded in 1951, is a beloved non-profit organization that brings the magic of live theatre to the community of Tuscarawas County and beyond. Established with the aim of fostering creativity and artistic expression, the theatre has a rich history of productions beginning with its first play, "Biography," at the former Union Opera House. The Little Theatre has evolved significantly, moving through various venues before settling into its own dedicated space in 1963, which features 191 comfortable seats, dressing rooms, and facilities for prop and set storage.
Offering a diverse range of performances, from musicals and dramas to comedies and children's shows, the theatre thrives on the passion and dedication of its members, who volunteer their time and talents. As a proud member of the Ohio Community Theatre Association, The Little Theatre of Tuscarawas County continues to create enriching cultural experiences for audiences of all ages, ensuring the arts remain vibrant and accessible in the region.
