The Mama's Alchemist

The Mama’s Alchemist provides holistic, individualised support for women and families through preconception, pregnancy, birth and postpartum. Led by Kate Prince, an endorsed midwife and Chinese Medicine Practitioner, the practice combines midwifery experience with evidence-based, client-centred care tailored to each person’s needs and circumstances. Services are offered one-to-one in clients’ homes and include preparation sessions on conception, pregnancy, labour, birth preferences and postpartum planning.

Midwifery care can include antenatal and postnatal checks for mother and baby, with pathology and ultrasound requests as required. For families returning home after a hospital birth, a postpartum package offers frequent early visits, ongoing weekly support, mother and baby checks, newborn education, mother-crafting and acupuncture as needed. Kate also provides Traditional Chinese Medicine treatments, including acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, cupping and moxibustion, to support women’s health and address concerns such as pregnancy-related discomfort, nausea and vomiting.
