Theme Institute Sri Lanka is an independent, not-for-profit platform founded in 2016 with the aim of providing unbiased research evidence to inform policy at both individual and population levels. The institute specializes in six thematic areas: Technology, Health, Environment, Migration, Education, and Ethics. Through their multidisciplinary projects, they seek to create a people-oriented policy drive that addresses current and future challenges in these areas.

Their comprehensive services include research support for individuals and organizations, workshop and training program design and delivery, and expert consultancy services.

The team at Theme Institute Sri Lanka is comprised of dedicated professionals with diverse backgrounds and expertise. The late Dr. Chesmal Siriwardhana, Co-founder and Honorary Chairman, was a renowned advocate for internally displaced populations in Sri Lanka's Northern Province. The Board of Directors consists of individuals with qualifications and experience in psychology, population health science, and environmental toxicology and health.
