The Milky Way – Stillberatung offers personal, individual support for families navigating breastfeeding in the Ortenau region. Founded by Anja, a mother of twins, the practice combines professional healthcare experience with first-hand understanding of the challenges that can arise during breastfeeding. Anja is an IBCLC® lactation consultant and a qualified health and paediatric nurse. Her experience supporting families with premature and newborn babies on a children’s intensive care unit informs her work, alongside specialist training in lactation and breastfeeding and an internationally recognised IBCLC examination.

The service focuses on breastfeeding guidance and coaching, with time for parents’ questions and concerns. Anja supports families through their individual breastfeeding journeys, including the often uncertain start, offering patient, clear and knowledgeable guidance. The approach recognises that breastfeeding does not always come naturally and that learning and support can make a difference.
