The Modern Quilt Guild (MQG) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building community and supporting the growth of modern quilting through art, education, and connection. Founded to encourage a fresh approach to quiltmaking, the MQG describes modern quilting as a way to reimagine tradition, explore creative possibilities, and bring people together. Its worldwide community includes more than 16,000 members and supporters.

The organization offers membership, access to a directory of local guilds, educational opportunities, and resources for people interested in modern quilting. Its flagship event, QuiltCon, brings quilters, makers, artists, and vendors together for a celebration of the craft. The event features a juried quilt show, awards, classes, and opportunities for instructors and quiltmakers to participate. Selected QuiltCon quilts also travel internationally in an annual touring exhibit. Through these programs, the MQG helps members develop their skills, share their work, and connect with a global quilting community. Individuals can also support the organization’s mission through donations.
