The Netherland-America Foundation

The Netherland-America Foundation (NAF) is a leading bilateral foundation that has been active since 1921. Their mission is to foster mutual understanding and build bridges between the Netherlands and the United States. The NAF achieves this through the initiation and support of high-impact exchange programs and fellowships in various fields such as arts, business, public policy, and historic preservation.

They provide donors and recipients with access to a broad network of educational, cultural, and business organizations that exemplify excellence in both Dutch and American disciplines. The NAF has accomplished significant milestones over the years, including the establishment of a national Dutch-American network with ten chapters across the United States. They also offer prestigious NAF-Fulbright Fellowships, study loans, and internship grants to facilitate international academic and professional experiences for Dutch and American students.

Additionally, the NAF supports cultural exchange programs, networking events for business professionals, and provides assistance to Dutch institutions in raising funds in the United States. As a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, the NAF has proven its financial management capabilities and received a four-star rating from Charity Navigator. Their commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is evident in their mission to promote appreciation, respect, and tolerance through the exchange of people and ideas between the Netherlands and the United States.
