The Nerdy Type is an indie gaming platform founded by Paula Vaynshteyn, designed to celebrate the creativity and passion of indie game developers. Rooted in a love for storytelling and the unique journeys of smaller gaming teams, The Nerdy Type serves as a vital resource for those looking to explore the vibrant world of indie games.
Since its inception, Paula has authored over 200 articles, shedding light on a diverse range of indie titles, from cozy deckbuilders to gripping horror games. Unlike larger gaming websites that often overlook these smaller players, The Nerdy Type focuses on giving these underdog developers the recognition they deserve. Despite facing challenges like burnout, Paula remains committed to her mission and has recently reignited her enthusiasm for gaming.
In addition to her work with indie games, Paula also runs PV Bootique, a jewelry business specializing in handmade chainmaille and alternative designs. The Nerdy Type welcomes gamers and enthusiasts alike to share in this journey of discovery and support for indie gaming.
