The Neville Trust is a charitable organisation supporting the education of young people who live in the Parish of Well with Snape in North Yorkshire. Founded in 1605 by Thomas Cecil, 1st Earl of Exeter, and Dorothy Neville, the Trust established village schools and has continued to support local education. Today, income from investments following the sale of Well School and School House funds grants for eligible residents aged 24 or younger.
Grants are available for further and higher education students, vocational learners and apprentices, A- and AS-level students, and children under 16. Support may help with course costs, tools, books, equipment, or other educational endeavours, depending on the applicant’s age and circumstances. Awards are usually limited to £100 per year, with a £300 lifetime limit for each child before age 16. Applicants must have had a permanent home in the parish for at least two years. Applications are submitted annually in September, with course or apprenticeship evidence required for applicants aged 16 to 24.
