About #thenewITgirls
#thenewITgirls is an independent association founded in 2019 with the aim of promoting women in the IT industry. Comprised of industry experts, our team works voluntarily to make the IT industry more appealing for women, break down societal prejudices, promote diversity, and increase the visibility of women and career opportunities in IT both in Austria and beyond. Our events are designed to connect and empower women in the field.
We host regular #thenewITgirls meetups, which take place either online or in person, featuring guest speakers who cover various soft and hard skills topics. Following the sessions, there is an opportunity for participants to network and exchange experiences. In addition to meetups, we organize the #thenewITGirls Stammtisch, technical tracks, and thematic workshops such as #IamRemarkable.
