The North West er en samfunnsfestival som samler mennesker for å dele opplevelser, kunnskap og ideer, skape dialog og finne løsninger. Målet er å styrke fellesskapet, gi flere en følelse av tilhørighet og bidra til økt livskvalitet. Festivalen setter mennesker og relasjoner i sentrum, med et særlig fokus på å bygge inkluderende fellesskap og styrke følelsen av stedstilhørighet. The North West er non-profit, partipolitisk uavhengig og redaktørstyrt. Festivalen har blitt arrangert i Ålesund hver vår siden 2018.

About The North West
The North West is the arena for sustainable regional development, where we collaborate to create the regions of the future! Join us at The North West Arena, a network that aims to build relationships, increase knowledge, share experiences, and challenge existing truths. Our main partner is the United Future Lab Norway, a project established in 2019 by Ålesund municipality and part of the UN's program for smart and sustainable cities. The United Future Lab Norway, or Framtidslaben, operates through a partnership between actors from the private sector, academia, and the public sector.
Together, we strive to reach the UN's sustainability goals by developing and implementing sustainable projects across various themes. Our collective efforts have laid a strong foundation for fostering collaboration and finding innovative solutions for a more sustainable society. Now, we are taking our work to the next level and seeking a leader to guide Framtidslaben through an exciting new phase.
As the leader, you will play a central role in the reorganization of our sustainability efforts, working alongside key stakeholders such as The North West, NHO, NTNU, and the municipalities in the region.
