The Obsession Outdoors is a Kentucky-based bowfishing guide service established in 2016, led by Capt. CT, whose experience on the water spans more than 15 years. Raised on the Ohio River and formerly a deckhand on Gulf of Mexico charter boats, Capt.
CT is a US Coast Guard licensed captain and a Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources licensed fishing guide. The company offers guided nighttime bowfishing trips for paddlefish, also known as spoonbill, carp, buffalo, and gar, including invasive bighead and silver carp. Trips welcome both beginners and experienced anglers; no prior bowfishing experience is required.
Equipment is included, along with instruction before the outing. Guests fish aboard a 26-foot custom deck-over bowfishing boat. For the 2025 season, The Obsession Outdoors also offers an all-inclusive experience combining a stay at its fishing lodge with a carp and gar trip.
The lodge features a full kitchen, seven beds, a private dock, firepit, fish freezer storage, grocery delivery, and a Green Egg grill
