About Theological College
Theological College is the nation's seminary, dedicated to the formation of priests after the heart of Christ. Affiliated with The Catholic University of America and in unity with the American Bishops, Theological College prepares seminarians for the diocesan priesthood through comprehensive care in human, spiritual, academic, and pastoral dimensions.
With a rich history dating back to its founding in 1917, Theological College traces its roots to the Society of St. Sulpice. Today, the seminary is overseen and directed by experienced priests of the same society who mentor and guide seminarians throughout their formation.
The community of Theological College is diverse, representing numerous dioceses and archdioceses across the United States, as well as student priests pursuing advanced degrees. This diversity adds richness to the seminary community, with varying pastoral situations and expressions of faith.
