The Orchards Executive Golf Course is a public golf destination in the center of Lawrence, Kansas, located at 3000 Bob Billings Parkway near the University of Kansas campus. Designed by Mel Anderson and built in 1979 as an auxiliary to Alvamar Country Club, now The Jayhawk Club, this nine-hole course offers an accessible round for golfers of varied skill levels. Its 1,943 yards feature tight, tree-lined fairways, creeks, thick rough, and small, carefully positioned greens that make play engaging and challenging.

A course-wide renovation begun in 2018 focused on improving the greens and expanding tee boxes to lengthen the course. The Orchards provides online tee-time booking, course information, rates, a scorecard, a course tour, and guidance on course rules and etiquette. Golfers can also explore membership options and join men’s or women’s leagues, which welcome different ability levels and combine friendly competition with opportunities to meet other players.

The venue hosts tournaments and outings, making it an option for groups planning a golf event
