E.C. Theo Thijssen

Educatief Centrum Theo Thijssen is an educational center in Zutphen, the Netherlands, offering care, education and activities for children from birth to age 13. Open five days a week from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., throughout the year, the center provides a connected range of services: daycare, preschool playgroup, before-school care, primary education and after-school care.

Its approach is built around a shared pedagogical vision and the idea of “learning by doing.” The center aims to support each child’s continuous development, placing core skills such as language and mathematics at the heart of learning. It also encourages children’s initiative and develops their individual talents through an entrepreneurial approach to learning.

The center’s school groups serve children from the early years through Grade 8, alongside dedicated daycare groups and a preschool playgroup. Theo Thijssen is part of Stichting Archipel, a foundation that includes schools across the region.
