About The Plastic Flamingo
The Plaf is a brand dedicated to combating marine plastic pollution and promoting a circular economy. With the Philippines ranking among the top three countries in terms of ocean plastic pollution, The Plaf has taken action by establishing an industrial-scale plastic recycling plant. While reducing plastic use is critical, The Plaf recognizes the urgency of addressing existing plastic waste.
The brand offers a range of services, including upcycling waste to create new building materials. By transforming plastic waste into sustainable construction materials, The Plaf aims to address both the plastic waste crisis and the housing backlog in the Philippines. Founded in 2018 by Francois and Charlotte Lesage, who were inspired during a cycling trip from France to Vietnam, The Plaf is committed to making a collective impact in eradicating the plastic problem.
