The Plant Artist is a creative garden design and consultancy practice shaped by a love of gardening, quilting, and the outdoors. Its work brings together native plants, found objects, and materials repurposed on site, creating landscapes and handmade quilts that invite people to notice the beauty and potential in overlooked things. Garden design and building are central to the practice, with projects incorporating water-harvesting earthworks and opportunities to teach as the work unfolds.
The Plant Artist also shares a wider creative life through fabric art, hiking, singing, writing, drawing, design, and cooking. The website presents gardens and commissioned work alongside a portfolio, videos, and a shop, offering visitors several ways to explore the practice and its creations. Clients and collaborators can get in touch to discuss a project and work together on a garden or other creative commission.
Grounded in observation, resourcefulness, and a close relationship with nature, The Plant Artist offers an individual approach to designing and making
