RE100 is a global corporate renewable energy initiative that brings together hundreds of large and ambitious businesses committed to achieving 100% renewable electricity. Led by Climate Group, our mission is to accelerate the transition towards zero carbon grids at scale. Companies in the commercial and industrial sector account for approximately half of the world's electricity consumption.

Our goal is to shift this demand to renewable sources. With operations spanning various industries across the world, from telecommunications to automobile manufacturing, our members are actively working towards a sustainable future. Since our launch in 2014, RE100 has expanded throughout Europe, North America, and the Asia-Pacific, with particularly rapid growth in Japan.

We collaborate with select organizations in key growth areas to increase our membership and drive market change. To achieve zero carbon electricity grids by 2040, we advocate for change at both global and local levels, supporting corporate sourcing of renewable electricity and influencing policies. Our governance is overseen by the RE100 Project Board, advised by the RE100 Advisory Committee and the Technical Advisory Group.
