The Reach Corporation

The Reach Corporation is a private, nonprofit 501(c)(3) residential agency in Oklahoma that has served people with intellectual and developmental disabilities since 2008. It supports 128 clients with mild, moderate, severe, or profound intellectual disabilities through residential care and related programs. Its homes are located in Okemah, Okmulgee, and Weleetka, with six- and eight-bed facilities for men or women.

Reach provides weekday day programs designed around each individual’s needs. Developed by qualified professionals, activities include field trips, arts and crafts, dances, birthday celebrations, and training in daily living. Programs also help clients build practical skills such as money management, social interaction, grocery stocking, janitorial tasks, and lawn care.

The organization encourages participation in community life through recreation, work and volunteering, church attendance, shopping, voting, and local events. Its services are supported by coordinated systems for client information, nursing, active treatment, maintenance, payroll, purchasing, budgeting, and client funds. Reach describes its mission as providing quality, unique, and effective services through compassionate support, education, and advocacy alongside clients, families, and guardians.
