The Ride Bike Shop is a locally owned bicycle repair shop and disc golf store in Fairfield, Iowa. Established in 2020 as the successor to A.J.’s Bicycle Shop, which opened in 1988, it carries forward a long-standing commitment to helping people enjoy their rides. Owner Mark Smith worked at A.J.’s for 18 years before starting the business. The family-oriented shop aims to provide friendly service and affordable, quality bicycles, parts, and accessories.

The Ride offers full-service bicycle repairs, from flat tires and shifting problems to brake issues and complete tune-ups. It welcomes all types of bikes, including entry-level models, and also offers bike rentals. Customers can explore the shop’s bicycle and disc golf products, with information available about bike brands and what is stocked inside.

Community involvement is an important part of the business. The shop supports local rides and races, children’s cycling safety workshops, basic repair workshops, and trail-building and maintenance efforts. The Ride Bike Shop invites residents and visitors to stop by for service, equipment, and community connections.
