Rising Child Foundation (RCF) is a registered women-led non-governmental organization in Nigeria that is dedicated to education and empowerment as catalysts for transformative change in the lives of the most vulnerable children, with a particular emphasis on girls and young women. RCF firmly believes that education and empowerment are essential cornerstones of sustainable development and are committed to investing in human capital resources to unlock the potential of marginalized communities. At RCF, we foster an environment that encourages intergenerational leadership and collaboration.

We prioritize the inclusion of young people, women, persons with disabilities, and other marginalized groups in our project design and execution, ensuring that their voices and needs are central to our initiatives. Over the past three years, we have strategically empowered women-led community-based organizations to become agents of change within their communities. Our advocacy efforts have had a significant impact, leading to the proper domestication of the Violence Against Persons (Prohibition) Act (VAPP) in Nigeria.

Through initiatives like the Soro-Soke Vanguard, we combat gender-based violence through engaging radio programs, local community dialogues, and innovative strategies that contribute to strengthening gender laws and policies. Our mission is to provide multi-sectoral interventions for the education and empowerment of children, especially girls. We achieve this through capacity building, skills development, information dissemination, advocacy, and cross-cutting community service projects.

Our objectives include advocating for inclusive and quality education, inspiring children to excel through education and empowerment, supporting the development of social and emotional skills, providing research and capacity building on social and economic issues, and working towards accomplishing the Sustainable Development Goals. Our vision is to create a future where the lives of less-privileged and vulnerable children, particularly girls, are positively transformed through education and empowerment. We firmly believe that by providing opportunities, resources, and knowledge, we empower these individuals to shape their own destinies and improve their overall well-being.
