About The RiverFront
The RiverFront brings three parks in downtown Omaha together under one identity: Gene Leahy Mall, Heartland of America Park, and Lewis & Clark Landing. Founded in 2018, the organization connects 72 acres of renovated public space between the historic Old Market and north downtown Omaha. Gene Leahy Mall opened to the public on July 1, 2022, followed by Heartland of America Park and Lewis & Clark Landing on August 18, 2023.
The RiverFront offers visitors places to gather, explore, and enjoy the outdoors. Its website features an interactive map to help guests find destinations, along with information about park hours, rules, accessibility, and getting around. The parks host daily activities and events made possible by community and program partners, with an events calendar and inquiry information available online. Visitors can also discover public art and learn about the parks’ plant life and sustainability efforts. The RiverFront shares news and updates, answers frequently asked questions, and provides opportunities to support its work, pursue program partnerships, or inquire about sponsorship.
