The Roof Cherbourg is a welcoming climbing and community space in Martinvast, near Cherbourg, bringing sport, wellbeing and social activities together under one roof. Its indoor facility spans more than 1,000 square metres, including 650 square metres of climbing across three areas: a kids’ space for children aged two and up, a playful mezzanine for younger and newer climbers, and a larger bouldering area for ages ten and above. Visitors can climb freely or join supervised lessons for adults and children, as well as group sessions, holiday activities and birthday events.
The venue also includes a café serving drinks and homemade light meals, a south-west-facing terrace, coworking facilities, a sauna and a studio offering yoga, Pilates, mobility, breathing and gentle strength classes. A reading corner and rotating exhibitions add to the relaxed, cultural atmosphere. The Roof hosts events and provides services for organisations, including seminars, team-building, group visits, corporate ticketing and private hire.
