The Sisters’ Couch is a Detroit-based wellness hub created to help Black women heal, connect, learn, and thrive. Founded in 2018 by therapist and mental health advocate Alandra Chuney Jackson, LMSW, the organization provides a welcoming, intentionally designed space where women can gather, feel supported, and discuss mental wellness. Its mission includes reducing stigma, sharing mental health education, fostering community, and connecting Black women with licensed mental health professionals, including professionals of color.
The Sisters’ Couch offers curated events and community programming, wellness experiences, scheduled coworking, private membership, and a therapist directory. Its facilities and services include event space rentals, wellness suite rentals, retail offerings, and tailored facilitation for teams, families, and girls’ groups. The organization also provides gathering and co-working spaces designed to support connection and self-care. Located on Grand River Avenue in Detroit, The Sisters’ Couch serves women through both scheduled programming and spaces for rest, learning, and community.
