About Songbook Foundation
The Songbook Foundation is a non-profit organization that celebrates the timeless standards of pop, jazz, Broadway, and Hollywood, known as the Great American Songbook. Founded in 2007 by Grammy-nominated Michael Feinstein, the foundation curates physical artifacts in the Songbook Library & Archives, operates a multimedia exhibit gallery, and oversees the Songbook Hall of Fame. They offer a range of programs and educational opportunities, including the annual Songbook Academy summer intensive for young singers who love Broadway, jazz, and the American Songbook.
Caregivers can access music resources to engage older adults through the Perfect Harmony program. The foundation also provides educational resources and outreach through their blog. Their exhibits showcase highlights from their collections, including the papers of Meredith Willson and musical arrangements of artists like Natalie Cole.
