The Stone Workshop is an artisan stone-carving studio in Herefordshire, run by a husband-and-wife team of craftspeople. Serving customers across Herefordshire and within a 100-mile radius, the studio creates bespoke, traditional hand-carved memorials shaped around each client’s ideas. Its work includes headstones, cremation stones, memorial sculpture, restoration carving, and signs, with lettering carved in stone and wood.
Each commission is client-led: designs are drawn and refined by hand before carving begins, helping ensure the finished work reflects the client’s vision. Visitors are welcome at the Hereford studio to discuss ideas, view progress, and take part in the process. The team sources its stone from the United Kingdom, selecting natural materials for their quality and durability. Work is completed in-house, from the initial drawn lettering through to installation of the stone. Customers can contact The Stone Workshop to discuss a commission or arrange a studio visit.
