The Tail Sniffer is an aircraft-tracking service created by a working professional pilot for aviation professionals, aircraft owners, and anyone monitoring a fleet. Available as a web app and native iPhone app, it provides live positions for followed aircraft, updating every minute, alongside an interactive fleet map with flight routes, weather radar, and more than 45,000 airports. Users can receive email or push notifications when aircraft depart or arrive, and review flight histories with airport details, times, durations, altitude profiles, and route replays.

The free plan supports tracking up to three aircraft, includes 30 days of history, and provides email alerts. Paid Pro plans add capacity, a full flight archive, phone push alerts, and an ad-free experience. A separate LADD add-on for aviation professionals and aircraft owners makes LADD-enrolled aircraft available on the map, in histories, and in alerts, with their status clearly labeled. Accounts work across the web and mobile apps, and users can manage or cancel subscriptions through the service or their app-store settings.
