About Teac Tom
Teac Tom is a community and voluntary charity that provides mental health support and suicide intervention services in Kilkenny city and Stradbally, Co. Laois. Our mission is to offer affordable and immediate help to those struggling with their mental health or who have been affected by suicide. With no government funding, Teac Tom relies on the generosity and support of individuals, businesses, and the wider community to keep our doors open.
Our services include emergency response to suicide, counselling and support, a 24-hour phone line, walk-in listening service, and a mobile support unit. We also engage with the community through initiatives like Teac Tom's Worry Box Project, S.A.F.E Support Programmes, and community engagement talks.
