The Unity Weekend

The Unity Weekend is a Greenville community initiative that honors Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy through education, service, mentorship, and celebration. Its mission is to connect students, athletes, businesses, and higher education partners in support of future leaders, while encouraging unity and opportunity for local youth and communities.

The annual program brings people together through events including a Unity worship service, Legacy Breakfast, MLK Scholarship Gala, basketball invitational, stomp fest, career and college expo, health and wellness summit, community resource day, and “The Dream,” a living exhibit honoring Dr. King. Participants can access networking, corporate mentorship, educational workshops, career exploration, and opportunities to build leadership skills and social awareness. The initiative also promotes community service and economic literacy, and offers ways to give, volunteer, become a sponsor, or attend events. Through scholarships and partnerships, The Unity Weekend aims to help students grow personally and professionally and prepare for successful futures.
